Group Programs

Los Alamos Public School Field Trips

Each year PEEC provides free Field Trips to LAPS classrooms. Students experience nature as young scientists studying soils, plants, habitats and more. All activities are hands-on and meet science standards!

The following is a schedule of when programs are offered:

• First, Second, and Third Grade field trips are offered each Spring.
• Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Grade field trips are offered each Fall.
• Middle and High School field trips may be arranged throughout the year.

Students should bring their own snacks to eat during break and dress appropriately for outdoor activities. Transportation must be arranged and paid for by each school. Some schools are within walking distance.

Other Children's Groups

Scouts, After-school Programs, Preschools, Home Schools, Etc.

PEEC offers environmental education programs for a variety of groups. Please contact the PEEC Program Coordinator for details Programs@PajaritoEEC.org

Our program fee is $35/hour (up to 15 children) plus $3/hour per additional child. This fee includes an educational activity led by an environmental educator and access to the PEEC Nature Center exhibits and classroom space.

If you would like to bring a group to the center without a formal PEEC program you may do so without charge. Please call in advance (662-0460) for groups of 5 children or more.

Parties and Meetings

The classroom at PEEC is available for parties and meetings. Rental fees are very reasonable. Please contact PEEC for more information.
