Meet Featured Volunteer Karla Sartor

Karla SartorEcologist and PEEC Board member Karla Sartor is fresh off the lines of a 2-week, bilingual training in the Santa Fe National Forest focused on prescribed burning for forest health. We sat down with Karla to learn more about this fascinating topic, how she ended up in Los Alamos, and what she does as a volunteer for PEEC.

We've Reached 90% of our Goal!

We're at 90% of our goal! Thanks to the very generous gifts that have already come in from hundreds of individuals and businesses, PEEC is already up to 90% of its goal of raising $1.2 million! The funds raised in the Take Wing campaign will be used to furnish indoor and outdoor exhibits and a professional planetarium projector at the new Los Alamos County Nature Center, which will open in spring, 2015. - Learn more

Get a Brick at the New Nature Center!
